PDUs Categorizations

On 1st December 2015, the PDU requirements for PMI® Certification holders was updated to arrange the employer-identified skills represented as the PMI Talent Triangle® with 3 fundamental aspects:
• Technical Project Management
• Leadership
• Strategic and Business Management

These three project management’s key aspects are well accepted and widely used these days. This article will discuss the PMP® / PMI-ACP® Educational PDU requirements and ways to categorize the PDUs activities according to the PMI Talent Triangle®.

1. PMP® / PMI-ACP® Educational PDUs requirements

Back in the day, PMI® required credential holders to get educational PDUs in order to fulfill the continuing education requirements of the certifications without specifying which skills areas the educational PDUs should be focused on.
