PMP® Exam Will Change In December

To keep the PMP® Exam up-to-date, PMI® carry out research every 3-5 years to catch up with how the profession has progressed, the impact of emerging trends, and how the responsibilities of project managers have changed. The last research was conducted in 2015 and the findings from that research resulted in the current PMP® Exam Content Outline.

PMI® is working with leading organizations worldwide to define the future PMP®. Therefore, if you’re thinking about earning the PMP® or preparing to take the exam soon, keep yourself well-informed of the changes. A new version of the Exam Content Outline will be available in June to help you decide on when to schedule your exam and how to prepare. The current version of the exam will be available until 15 December 2019.

As a result, if you want to take the exam with the current version, there are a few things to keep in mind.
-  Schedule your exam early. Most people reserve their exam date 3 months in advance. With this amount of preparation time, you can feel confident and ready to take the exam with the best date and location to suit your schedule.
-  Pay for your exam without delay. Only after you’ve paid for the exam can you set the examination date.
-  Allow yourself enough time. Keep in mind the PMP® timeline:
+ 90 days: to complete the application form after you open it
+ 1 year: to pass the exam from the date of your application approval. If you need more than one attempt, be sure to leave enough time to re-take the exam before your eligibility expires.

Questions on the PMP® Exam are developed by project practitioners from over the world who work together to make sure that the exam accurately reflects the profession. The exam in December is being updated at the moment.
