The team will next enter the storming stage in which different ideas compete and everyone believes that his idea is the one, a clash may happen between the team. This is where the group starts to sort itself out and gain each other’s trust. This stage often starts when they voice their opinions and, as a result of this, a conflict may arise between team members as power and status are assigned. The leader of the team will then describe the tasks to the group, describe the different behaviors to the group and how to deal with and handle complaints. Here comes the role of team manager, where he should try to reconcile the views of each member and show him that his opinion is important and it is right


In this Norming Stage, the team will be more harmonious and they will all agree to manage the work together in order to reach their goal. In this stage, all team members take responsibility and devoted to the success of the team’s final goals. Each member accepts others and make an effort to move on. However, members may become so focused on preventing conflict that they are unwilling to share provocative ideas. The role of the project manager here is supervising and providing members the required authority to make decisions.


The team members are now qualified, independent and have the ability to handle the decision-making process without supervision. Disagreement is expected and allowed as long as it is directed through acceptable means. The team will make most of the significant choices. However, even the most high-performing teams will return to earlier stages in some cases. Many teams go through these cycles many times as they react to changing conditions. 


Adjourning – or deforming and mourning means dissolution. It requires the termination of roles, the end of tasks and the conversion of dependency. The process can be stressful, especially when the dissolution is unplanned, which is also resulted in a sense of loss sometimes held by team members.
