What Happens Once I Have Passed The PMP® Exam?

Learning for the PMP® Exam is no easy task. From the moment you’ve started the journey, all you’ve ever dreamed of is to click on the “Submit” button and receive a congratulation message on the screen. Here is what really happens the moment you have submitted your answers or 4 hours is up.

YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR RESULTS IMMEDIATELY…

Once you have submitted your answers or 4 hours is up (whichever comes first), a short survey about your exam experience will be given to you so that PMP® can enhance the exam quality. After you have completed the survey, the PMP® exam result will be shown. Hopefully, your hard work pays off with your passing the exam with flying colors and a congratulation message shown on the computer screen.

If you are a passing candidate, the center staff will print out a copy of the exam report which will be the only proof showing that you have passed the PMP® exam in case of technical problems. After you have received your PMP® certificate, you can choose either to discard the exam report or preserve it as a souvenir of your PMP® exam.

Once you have become a PMP®:
- The word “PMP” can now be attached after your name in your resume, and on your website, etc. to indicate that you are a certified PMP®.
- A soft copy of the PMP® logo can be downloaded and included in your personal name card, but not on your website or company name card.
- You immediately activate your 3-year PMP® re-certification cycle, and you can start to earn PDUs from now on.
- The PMP® directory will list your name and details within 48 hours
- A PMP® lapel pin can be requested free of charge as you wish. (The label pin will be delivered in a separate package from the PMP® certificate package)

The PMP® certificate package will arrive by mail in 6-8 weeks including:
- PMP® credential certificate
- A congratulatory letter
- Guidance on how to maintain the PMP® credential
